MERIDIA RE IV SOCIMI, S.A.U. is a SOCIMI (equivalent to a Spanish REIT) was launched in 2019 by the alternative investment fund manager Meridia Capital Partners SGEIC, SA. Meridia IV is a €251.5m real estate vehicle with an investment capacity of over c.€500m. It targets all commercial real estate segments in Madrid and Barcelona (Spain), with an opportunistic small allocation to Portugal (Lisbon) with a focus on value add projects.
Regulated by the CNMV (Spanish Securities Market Commission) and with 15 years of proven experience in the real estate sector, Meridia Capital Partners SGEIC, S.A. is an independent fund manager managing assets of c.€1bn. Meridia has consolidated as one of the leading alternative investment fund managers in Spain.

BARCELONA
In March 2021 we acquired a 23,000 sqm logistics platform located in Gelida, close to Barcelona. The asset is located in a prime logistics area: Barcelona’s first ring, and has excellent access to the main roads. This deal represents a great opportunity to further consolidate Meridia Capital’s position in Barcelona’s top rated logistics market. Meridia Capital plans to execute diverse refurbishment actions in order to reposition the asset.
CALA MONTGÓ
In March 2021 we closed the acquisition of a camping in Cala Montgó, Girona. This represents the third acquisition of Meridia’s JV agreement with WeCamp to build a sustainable glamping platform. The site covers 10 hectares with space for 500 units and will undergo heavy transformation with substantial capex investment to improve and reposition the asset.
BARCELONA
In March 2020 we acquired a c.20,000 sqm industrial asset located next to Barcelona, in Barbera de Valles, a prime industrial area within the first ring of Catalonia logistic market. This deal represents a great opportunity to acquire an asset in Barcelona’s sought after and top rated logistics market. Meridia plans to reposition the asset with significant CapEx.
BARCELONA
In March 2021 we acquired an office building located in Barcelona’s 22@, consolidating Meridia’s position in Barcelona’s technological hub. The asset has a total surface of 4.295 sqm and 22 parking spaces. Meridia Capital plans to execute diverse refurbishment actions in order to reposition the asset.
CABO DE GATA
In February 2021 we closed the acquisition of a camping in Cabo de Gata, South of Spain. This represents the second acquisition of Meridia’s JV agreement with WeCamp to build a sustainable camping operator. The newly acquired site covers 5 hectares with space for 200 units and will be repositioned and transformed with significant capex investment.
BARCELONA
In March 2020 Meridia Capital acquired Hesperia Barcelona del Mar, a 4-star hotel located in Barcelona’s sea front area, within the 22@ district. The asset has 84 rooms split across c.5,800 sqm. This acquisition strengthens Meridia presence in 22@ district and represents a unique opportunity to acquire a hospitality asset in Barcelona, a market where Meridia has strong experience through past vehicles.
COSTA BRAVA
In February 2020 we acquired a camping site in Santa Cristina, Costa Brava. It is the first acquisition of Meridia´s recently launched joint venture agreement WeCamp, a sustainable camping operator. WeCamp has been launched as a platform to carry out a scalable eco-friendly lodging programme in Spain and Portugal, where the camping sector remains underinvested and highly fragmented. The site covers 6 hectares with space for 240 units and will undergo heavy transformation with substantial capex investment.
MADRID / BARCELONA
In November 2019 we acquired a portfolio of four office buildings, two located in Barcelona and two in Madrid. Total surface area of the assets is 26,323 sqm. The main asset is a c.7,000 sqm building in Barcelona’s 22@ district. This is diversified investment by geography and risk-profile with strong potential to improve the assets leveraging on Meridia’s asset management capabilities.
MADRID
In October 2019 we closed the first investment of Meridia IV, the acquisition of an office building located in Madrid’s MadBit district - one of the areas with highest potential in the city, where Meridia has a solid track record. The asset has a total surface area of 9,563 sqm and 226 parking spaces.
